Lafon County is the hardest to reach location in South Sudan's Eastern Equatoria State. It has an estimated population of about 19,567 people, it borders Lopit community in the South a distance of about 30 kms apart. Lafon is one of the most hardest to reach location based on the land. It remains unaccessible by road almost half of the year. It is flood prone location with high cases of malaria and malnution due to poor heverst,lack of access to market, lack of transport,poor health service delivery. The vulnerable women in the video struggle to open the only road to have the last supply of humanitarian Assistance in Lafon before the road becomes inaccessible in August to January 2025. Humanitarian workers may spend over a week to access Lafon County during rain season between a distance of 30 km to Lafon community.
