In the Far North, water has become a rare and almost inaccessible treasure for thousands of families. Every day, women, children and men walk for miles under a blazing sun, crossing arid land, in the hope of reaching a well, which is often dry. For these communities, water is not just a resource, it’s a matter of survival. This video plunges deep into their reality, revealing faces marked by fatigue, but also by courage and determination. It tells the story of those who, despite everything, continue to fight for a fundamental right: access to water. These poignant images remind us of the urgent need to act to offer a better future to these forgotten populations.

Third Place

These refugee women are in a malnutrition treatment center in West Africa where children under the age of 5, as well as pregnant and lactating women, are screened for malnutrition. These centers provide treatment for both moderate and severe acute malnutrition among these groups, who are among the most vulnerable in conflict settings. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the humanitarian teams on the ground, many children and women are saved from the devastating effects of malnutrition. Malnutrition treatment centers are vital in addressing the nutritional needs of populations affected by conflict, displacement, and food insecurity. The screening process identifies individuals who are malnourished or at risk, enabling timely intervention. Treatments may include therapeutic foods, medical care, and nutritional counseling to help restore health and prevent future malnutrition. Children under 5 are particularly susceptible to the effects of malnutrition, which can lead to stunted growth,
